Consultations:
You need to have made some key decisions before you can select your wedding flowers. Only with the relevant information to hand can we suggest the right designs to coordinate with your sense of style, to tone with the settings and create the perfect ambiance for the day.

What you need to know prior to a consultation:

  • Date & time, ceremony and reception locations
  • Style, fabric and colour of bridal dresses, a fabric swatch or picture is very beneficial
  • Details as to the height and build of those carrying bridal flowers
  • An anticipated guest count for the day and evening receptions

    Typical consultation questions include:

  • Allergies, does anyone in the main bridal party suffer from any hay fever or skin allergies
  • Do you like a particular style i.e. vintage, English garden or cool contemporary
  • Who in the bridal party will wear buttonholes and corsages, do you require any for other family members or friends. Delivery addresses.
  • Will the tables for the reception be round or rectangle, is the linen neutral or coloured
  • Will chair covers or runners be used to accessorise the venue or setting

Even if you know nothing about flowers, don’t be alarmed. The initial consultation is the perfect opportunity to ask as many questions as possible. We have the knowledge and resources to put your mind at rest and hopefully indulge you in a new interest along the way.

    Fact:

  • Size does matter, for larger builds a medium bouquet allows the bride to project grace where an oversized bouquet has the opposite effect. Petite brides too benefit from a scaled down bouquet as it complements the smaller frame.
  • A shower or cascade bouquet adds the perception of height as the design carries they eye up and down, just as a handtied bouquet can add the perception of width as they eye concentrates on the carrier’s middle.

    Myth:

  • The maids don’t have to carry a similar bouquet to the bride’s. One way is to build the maids bouquet from just one of the brides’ flowers or perhaps each maid carry a different floral component of the brides’ bouquet. If the brides’ bouquet is awash with colours then each maid can draw upon one single colour from the design.

    Booking Information:

  • A booking fee of £100 is required to secure your wedding date. The fee is non-refundable but is deducted from your final invoice.
  • It is never too early to book your date. We recommend you look to secure your date 9-12 months in advance of the date to guarantee availability.

Budget:
This is quite possibly one of the most difficult things to nail down. Most clients have no idea what to expect as far as their budget goes. You have to think realistically and know what you are going to be comfortable in spending.

To enable you to budget we have devised a pricing meter as a guide to costs for each item

Style:
What you wear on your big day will hugely influence what style of bouquet you choose:

  • Hand clusters: designed to fit neatly in the hand and are perfect for informal intimate weddings.
  • Handtied Bouquets: most suited to medium height and builds, bias cut or detailed dresses.
  • Loose Handtied– more informal & natural in style often incorporating the use of foliages through the design to define the flowers
  • Compact Handtied– tighter formed Handtied bouquets usually of one flower variety such as roses or summer flowers such as peonies or bouvardia.
  • Formal Handtied– using a mixed selection of flowers to create texture and interest. Choosing flowers of different forms & shapes works best in these designs
  • Wrist Corsages are best for slimmer figures or for modern, contemporary dress styles.
  • Trailing, Teardrop & Shower bouquets are best for full skirted dress such as A-line, ballerina or princess. We also recommend this design for fuller figured brides as the design is slimming, as it carries the eye down rather than focusing on your middle.
